Home /CPNRE – Exam
The Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination (CPNRE) is a standardized exam required to become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in most Canadian provinces and territories (except Ontario and BC, which now use the REX-PN). The exam assesses the competencies required for safe, effective, and ethical entry-level nursing practice.
It is developed by the Canadian Council for Practical Nurse Regulators (CCPNR) and is used by provincial nursing regulators to evaluate whether a candidate is ready for licensure.
